Sorry to use youtube as a "source" but this is a fast, and fairly trustworthy, source for explaining the problem.

Github is hosted in the U.S., and by an american company. Move the project to Gitlab or some other place, but don't keep it on github, as it might be removed by the US government

I have seen this news going around, and it feels like a lot of fearmongering at the moment, and we as a project are not interested in making a knee-jerk reaction to something that is only speculative.
