Describe the bug:
The programming doesn't allow JKSV to create new directories and or view the previously created ones from and old build. However I previously using a stable build from 2023. (could be an issue in itself)
Steps needed to reproduce:
I'm not completely sure on how to reproduce. But I updated to atmosphere 1.10.1, firmware 21.1.0. Which messed with every hb app. I tried updating JKSV to the most current 12/02/25. Upon booting in applet or not from applet into JKSV it attempts to create a new directory. This produces an error. After this initial error, JKSV will not create any directory even for new saves and fails any attempt to create a new save.
I deleted the main JKSV folder in an attempt to start from a blank slate, this still produces an error to create a new directory.
Something isn't playing friendly with the new atmosphere or firmware with the new programming of JKSV.
I checked the 12/02/25 Build until the 11/05/24 build. It produces this same error until I got to this version.
Expected behavior:
I expect to boot in with JKSV recognizing old save data, allowing the create new back ups along with the ability to restore.
Log file output:
Check sdmc:/config/JKSV/JKSV.log for any meaningful output that may be useful in diagnosing the bug in question. The last lines should be the most valuable.
SOLUTION - Upon searching for the log file above ^^^^^^ I discovered the paths json file.
I deleted the entire config JKSV folder and also deleted the main JKSV folder in the main directory of the SD Card.
(After copying a backup)
Upon boot JKSV created new configs and new directories.
JKSV now creates new back ups correctly and restores correctly.
I'm not a programmer, but I hope this helps with anyone trouble shooting this issue.
